Yard Dawgz Celebrate Season’s First Win

The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz claimed their first win of the season Saturday after beating the Cleveland Gladiators 63-50.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Yard Dawgz earned their first win of the season, trumping the Cleveland Gladiators 63-50 Saturday night.

The Dawgz (1-1) lead at halftime, 31-28 after an impressive defensive showing. Most of the game’s action happened in the second quarter, when the two teams combined for seven touchdowns.

Oklahoma City put the defensive pressure on Cleveland, holding the Gladiators scoreless in the third quarter. The Dawgz were able to post two more touchdowns, putting them ahead 42-31.

Oklahoma City was able to hold off Cleveland to earn the win. The team will travel to Iowa April 24 to face the Iowa Barnstormers. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m.
