GLENPOOL, OK -- Police say three people have confessed to stealing more than $10,000 from 19 Oklahoma Wal-Mart stores.

Jarode Virger, 19, and 26-year-old Joseph Maddox and an unidentified 17-year-old were arrested late Wednesday at a Glenpool Wal-Mart.

Other Wal-Mart stores hit by the suspects were in Sapulpa, Moore, Ponca City, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Okmulgee, Owasso, Enid, Edmond, Del City, Tulsa, Stillwater and Oklahoma City.

The suspects admitted to the crimes and identified other subjects involved who are also being investigated.

In all of the thefts, the thieves took a crow bar from the tool department and used it to pry open the registers in the Home & Garden or Automotive section after those areas were shut down for the night, police say.

The thieves were caught on surveillance videos at other stores, and employees at the Glenpool Wal-Mart called police when they saw the suspects entering the store. The three were then arrested.

Both Virger and Maddox previously lived in Tulsa but have recent addresses in Stillwater and Oklahoma City.
