UNDATED -- The Governor's Task Force on Oral Health has learned children of low income, uninsured and minority families aren't getting the care needed for their teeth. But now a new plan is hoping to change that.
"We've made the recommendation that will ultimately appoint another committee to oversee this outline this guide and see how best it can be implicated for the best use in the state," said Dr. Rieger Wood of the Oklahoma Dental Association.
There are five counties in Oklahoma with no dental provider and others that have just one. Some of the recommendations include address this dentist shortage as well as creating community water fluoridation.
