OKMULGEE, Oklahoma -- An Okmulgee woman who escaped from an Okmulgee police car last week after being arrested on meth complaints, turned herself in Tuesday afternoon.

Constance Martin escaped from Okmulgee Police custody on December 7.

Following her escape, the Okmulgee County DA issued a warrant for Martin.

Okmulgee Co. Sheriff Eddy Rice contacted Okmulgee Police and reported he was talking with persons who were in contact with 46-year-old Constance Martin and that they had informed him that she was willing to turn herself in.

After working out the details, Martin turned herself in and was booked into the Okmulgee Co. jail.
