Pawnee County Sheriff Seeks Homicide Witness

The Pawnee County Sheriff's Office wants to interview Clifford Lee Smith, a man they believe witnessed the shooting death of James Worley, 50.

PAWNEE COUNTY -- The Pawnee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a witness in the investigation of a homicide that happened on December 14, 2009, in the Appalachia Bay area of Keystone Lake. 

The witness is Clifford Lee Smith, who is described as 5'5', 136 weight, hazel eyes, and brown hair. 

Lieutenant Clint Stout of the Pawnee County Sheriff's Department said Smith is a witness is the shooting death of James Worley, 50. The victim's brother, 51-year-old Donald Worley, is in custody on a charge of first degree murder.

"The witness was in the residence at the time of the shooting," Stout said.

"He fled the scene, and I really need to talk to him."
