Sand Springs Woman Wins New Car

MUSKOGEE, OK – A Sand Springs woman has a new ride.

Molly Smith has a new 2010 Chevy Malibu thanks to Lake Country Chevrolet Cadillac in Muskogee. 

The dealership reports since 2009 was such a bad year for so many people, it wanted to do something to give back. 

For Molly, this was a Christmas miracle.

"I just didn't know what to do. I was like ‘no, this is not real, this is not real right now,'" said Molly Smith of Sand Springs.

Molly's husband is in the hospital. A friend from church wrote an essay to the dealership explaining why Molly really needed a new car. Entries were judged on originality and overall appeal and 20 semi-finalists were chosen. 

Molly didn't even know she had been nominated until Friday.

On Saturday, the semi-finalists each drew one of twenty keys from Santa's gift bag. Smith drew the key that started the car.
