Man Shot At Tulsa Apartment Complex

A 20-year-old man was shot Monday night and now Tulsa Police are searching for the suspect.

TULSA, OK -- A 20-year-old man was shot Monday night and now Tulsa Police are searching for the suspect.

While patrolling inside the Sunset Apartment complex, a Tulsa Police officer heard numerous gunshots shortly before 8:00 p.m.

Shortly after hearing the shots, officers were informed a shooting victim had been found at Mount Zion Baptist Church located in the 500 block of North Elgin Avenue.

Officers have identified the victim as 20-year-old Kewon Murphy. Officers say Murphy was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso. He was transported to St. Johns. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers say Murphy did not cooperate with the investigation.

Officers found numerous shell casings in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

Witnesses told officers that the suspect was possibly a black man, who was last seen leaving the complex in a dark Dodge Stratus.
