TULSA, OK -- More snow is in the forecast for Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening.  Probably the last thing folks across northeastern Oklahoma want to hear is more snow.

News On 6 meteorologist Nick Bender says the Christmas blizzard of 2009 is still fresh in many folk's minds.

Bender says a fast-moving upper-level storm system will approach Oklahoma from the south and west on Tuesday, spreading rain and snow across portions of Texas.  Most of the early precipitation on Tuesday in Oklahoma will be in the form of rain and most of that will fall south of I-40.  But as you get farther north, conditions will be cold enough to support snow.

Bender says the lion's share of snow is expected Tuesday night. Snowfall amounts may total up to 3 inches in the areas of Bartlesville, Grove and Miami, 1 to 2 inches for Tulsa and surrounding communities and lesser amounts farther south along and near Interstate-40.

With the snowfall, traveling conditions are likely to be affected, given last week's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day snow storm.
