Say It Ain't Snow!

TULSA, OK -- Snow is still on track to return to northeastern Oklahoma this evening and into tomorrow morning. 

News On 6 meteorologist Nick Bender says while this snow event will be nothing like the Christmas Eve Blizzard last week; it still will cause headaches for motorists. 

He says a light rain and snow mix is likely to spread across southern Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon as it moves into northeastern Oklahoma. 

Snowfall amounts are expected to range from a dusting, upwards to 1 to 2 inches with little to no ice accumulation. The light snow will begin to taper off around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday with lingering snow showers through midday. 

Nick Bender says roads may become slick and hazardous, especially bridges and overpasses, but major traveling impacts are unlikely.  

After the system moves into Kansas and Missouri, he says temperatures Wednesday afternoon will climb above the freezing mark.
