Woman Enters Blind Plea In Death Of Skinned Puppy

A woman accused of getting a friend to kill her Jack Russell terrier and skinning the puppy to make a belt out of its hide has entered a blind plea in the case.

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A woman accused of getting a friend to kill her Jack Russell terrier and skinning the puppy to make a belt out of its hide has entered a blind plea in the case.

Krystal Lynn Lewis is charged with one felony count of cruelty to animals and the 24-year-old Muskogee County woman will be sentenced February 22.

A blind plea is one in which a defendant has not entered into a plea agreement and relies on a judge to determine a sentence.
