TULSA, OK -- Mayor Dewey Bartlett has told the TARE board he still does not believe money should be transferred from a surplus trash account to the city's general fund.
Bartlett told TARE board members that there is a plan to save jobs on the table, so he says it's "premature" to transfer the money.
TARE board members say they'd have to change the board's rules to transfer funds. A change in the rules requires all six members of the board excluding the mayor to vote for the change.
They also said they couldn't vote to transfer the money on Wednesday because they need to change the rules that govern the board first.
