TULSA, OK -- Some North Tulsa residents are saying "No more violence."

The Ministry of Justice for North Tulsa says the community can't expect Tulsa Police to do all the work.

Twan Jones says the community needs to take responsibility too.

Jason Trent lost his son last May. Jake was simply answering a door when he was gunned down.

Now, his father is calling on other North Tulsans to stand with him and say enough is enough.

"We can't just sit here and talk. People have been talking for a long time. It's time for action," Trent said. "It's time for us to get out and start neighborhood watches and watching our streets and watching our kids as they're out playing."

Ministry of Justice for North Tulsa says it's reaching out to all community and organizational leaders to stand together against evil.
