TULSA, OK -- Some Oklahoma doctors are on their way to help in Haiti. Three doctors and a counselor with Tulsa's family residency program, In His Image, left Friday afternoon to provide medical care.
They'll arrive in Florida first and join a team of 15 others. They're also taking medicines and surgical equipment.
For one of the team members, it's his first trip into a disaster area.
"I'm not sure what I'm stepping into. I don't think any of us really do. I'm looking forward to giving a little bit of hope and relief to some of the people who are suffering," said Dr. Nick Carroll, In His Image.
The team will be there for about 10 days.
