Broken Arrow Man Arrested In CVS Pharmacy Robbery

TULSA, OK -- A 21-year-old Broken Arrow man was arrested Friday in connection to the robbery of the CVS Pharmacy at 71st and Yale on Thursday.

A tip phoned into the Robbery Tip Line led Tulsa Police to Wail Bassime, according to a news release by Sergeant David Walker of the Tulsa Police Department. Bassime's description and two photos from the pharmacy's surveillance tapes were publicized after the robbery.

"We learned that he has a 2000 Chevrolet Impala that matches the description of the getaway vehicle," Walker said. The car was located at a residence in the 7200 block of S. Erie where Bassime was arrested without incident.

A quantity of Oxycontin was recovered during the arrest.

Bassime was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a charge of first degree robbery and two outstanding traffic complaints.
