Time Magazine Features Wagoner Soldier Helping In Haiti

WAGONER, OK -- Time Magazine is featuring in this week's edition an Oklahoma soldier helping out in Haiti.

The soldier shown on the right in the photo with the outstretched arm is Wagoner native Sgt. Ian Erickson, who is part of the 82nd Airborne's global response force.

The News On 6 talked with his mother, Joni Charette, in January, when Ian was headed for the island nation of Haiti.

Joni says her son is helping with relief there for the next three to six months.

After that, Ian Erickson's unit will deploy to Afghanistan.
