TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police forced their way inside a Dollar General store Tuesday night after they received a call of an attempted robbery.

It happened at about 9:00 p.m. at the store located near 51st and Union in west Tulsa.

Two employees had locked up for the night and were counting money when officers say a man with a shotgun come to the front door and try to enter.

The employees hid in a bathroom and stayed until Tulsa Police arrived.

Police officers didn't know if the gunman was inside the store, so officers broke in.  A search of the business did not turn up a suspect.  They believe the suspect fled before officers arrived on scene.
