DEWEY, OK -- The owner of Pokey's Beauty Palace in Dewey was robbed at gunpoint at about 2:51 p.m. Wednesday, according to Dewey Chief of Police Mike O'Keefe.

On Thursday afternoon, Dewey Police issued an arrest warrant for Justin Dale Nicholas, 18, in connection to the armed robbery. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Owner Lonita Pitchlynn said a man and two women entered the beauty parlor, the man armed with a handgun. They demanded money, robbing both the cash register and Pitchlynn's purse. O'Keefe said the robbers got away with about $840 in cash.

There were two customers at the salon at the time of the robbery – one in a tanning booth – but no one was injured in the robbery.

Police describe the robber with the gun as a white male in his late teens to early 20s with brown hair, a brown mustache and beard.  He is slender, about 5'7" with an olive complexion. He was dressed in a dark blue, shiny hoodie jacket.

Both female robbers were 15-17 years of age.  One was about 5'0" tall with a medium build. She was wearing a multi-colored hoodie jacket that covered her hair.

The other female was about 5'5" tall, with a slender build and wearing a dark blue hoodie that also covered her hair.

Anyone with knowledge about the robbery or Nicholas' whereabouts is asked to call the Dewey Police Department at 918-639-9209.
