CLAREMORE, OK -- A company that had announced plans in 2008 to build a complex on the south side of Claremore has been foreclosed on by a Bristow-based bank.

According to paperwork filed in Rogers County District Court, Spirit Bank filed for foreclosure on January 22 against Claremore Vision LCC.

In 2008, ground was broken on the Oklahoma Plaza about a mile south of downtown Claremore on state Highway 66.

The $110 million investment was suppose to include residential, business, waterfront and greenway areas over 129 acres.

The proposed development was expected to create about 300 jobs and generate more than $2 million in tax revenue.

Early last year, bulldozers had begun to level the site.
