SAN ANTONIO, TX -- An Oklahoma soldier is doing better one month after a bomb in Pakistan nearly killed him.

Corporal Legrand Strickland was on patrol outside a girls' school on February 3 when a roadside bomb exploded, killing three soldiers.

He had both of his legs amputated above the knee.

Strickland's friends tell The News On 6 that he's now able to move around in a wheelchair and still has his sense of humor.
