OWASSO, OK -- After more than a month of repairs, the Goddard School in Owasso is ready for students once again.
School officials say cold weather likely caused a cast iron fitting to break on the fire sprinkler system.
Two classrooms had ceiling damage and about two inches of water flooded the floor in the entire school.
"You know it looked like a battle zone, like someone had dropped a bomb. To have it look like it looks like now, it's just a fantastic feeling. There was a lot of hard work by some very good people to make this possible," said Tom Young, Goddard School owner.
A restoration company worked to dry everything out and removed wet insulation and ceiling tiles to get kids back in the classroom.
