Motorcyclist Injured In Tulsa County Crash

TULSA COUNTY -- A Sand Springs man is in a Tulsa hospital after his motorcycle struck a car backing out of a driveway in the 6800 block of West 51st Street Sunday night.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the car's driver, 20-year-old April Westerfield, failed to yield when she backed out of a private drive, causing Casey Plunkett and his motorcycle to strike her car.

OHP troopers say Westerfield was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while Plunkett, 44, was rushed to a Tulsa hospital.

Westerfield was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of DUI, possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21 and failure to yield.
