SKIATOOK, OK -- A group of young Skiatook baseball players credits a News On 6 story for recovering the team's stolen lawn mower.

Earlier this month, News On 6 reported that someone had stolen the baseball club's $4,000 mower.

The team had purchased the mower through a series of fundraiser's to help take care of its field.

The club's president got an anonymous tip Monday evening from someone who did not want the reward. The tipster said he or she had seen the stolen mower at a residence about four blocks south of the ball field.

Skiatook Police went to the house and found the mower.

The owner of the house said a friend had driven it there and asked if the mower could be stored there awhile.

Police will now be talking to that friend.
