Okmulgee Police: Woman Claims She Was Robbed, Forced To Drive To BA

OKMULGEE, OK -- The Okmulgee Police Department is investigating an Okmulgee woman's claim that she was kidnapped and robbed early Thursday morning.

The woman told police she was leaving her home shortly before 6:30 a.m. when a man with a gun climbed into the back seat of her car and forced her to drive to Broken Arrow.

The woman told police that the man placed a rope around her neck and held the gun to her head as she drove.

She told them the man also demanded money and she gave it to him..

The woman said that when the pair reached Broken Arrow the man jumped out of her car and ran away.

Police say the woman was uninjured.

Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice says the woman could not describe the suspect.
