SAND SPRINGS, OK -- The Sand Springs Rotary Club held its 18th annual chili cook-off Friday.
Business and community leaders cooked their own versions of chili and served it up at the Case Community Center. More than 500 people attended.
The event raised about $6,000.
"I do it because it's a great sense of community here and it raises money for our rotary programs," said Tom Cobb of Sand Springs.
"Making the chili was a lot of work, being down here is a lot of fun," said Debbie Vaughan of Sand Springs.
The winners will be announced at the club's next meeting in two weeks.
