UNDATED -- People are hitting the stores in Ohio, trading in their old washers, dryers and refrigerators for new, energy efficient ones.

Ohio's "Cash for Appliances" program kicked off Friday. It's similar to "Cash for Clunkers" where people can get hundreds of dollars in rebates for buying Energy Star Certified appliances.

Oklahoma received $3.5 million for its program. That gets started on April 22nd.
