Tulsa Man Arrested After Firing His Gun Early Wednesday

An 18-year-old Tulsa man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police officers investigated a 'shots heard' call in the 1600 block of North Maplewood.

TULSA, OK -- An 18-year-old Tulsa man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police officers investigated a 'shots heard' call in the 1600 block of North Maplewood.

Tulsa Police were dispatched to the neighborhood at 2:40 a.m. and spotted a vehicle matching the description by witnesses concerning someone firing a gun from the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped in the 3200 block of East Woodrow.

Officers observed a .38 caliber handgun in plain view.

The driver, Robert Hawk was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of reckless handling of a firearm and malicious injury to private property.

At least one car was reported to have been damaged by gunfire stemming from the incident.
