Tulsa Students Visit TU For A Day In College

TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa middle school students got a first-hand look at a day in the life of student athlete in college on Wednesday.

It was the seventh year the University of Tulsa has had this program.

This year, the students came from Wilson Middle School.

Students athletes gave them a tour, took them to classes and showed them why it's important to get good grades.

"Just trying to encourage them and show them that dreams do come true and you know if they work hard they can eventually get to this point," said Natalia Alatorre, TU soccer player.

And students, The News On 6 talked with say it worked. They told us, Wednesday's visit has inspired them to work even harder.
