'Person Of Interest' Arrested In Connection With Tulsa Homicide
TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa man wanted as a 'person of interest' in a homicide on Monday was arrested at a Tulsa hospital emergency room Monday night.
Police say they got a call late Tuesday night about a man being treated at the ER for some injuries. They determined he was 37-year-old Pernell Jefferson.
Jefferson was at the ER being treated for injuries that he told police he sustained in a fight with the homicide victim, 47-year-old Carl England.
The homicide occurred in the 3600 block of North Quaker late Monday night.
After being treated, Pernell Jefferson was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony and attempted first degree burglary.
Tulsa Police say Jefferson's role in the homicide is still being investigated and a charge of murder could be filed in the case.
