TULSA, OK -- The better than expected weather over the weekend helped people make some progress on cleaning up from last Thursday's storms, but there's still a lot to do.

Chris Ford is spending another day cleaning up and counting up his cost.

"Busted the fence, busted the fence, busted the fence," he said.

He's glad a gigantic sycamore didn't fall over but plenty of limbs came down, leaving damage on his roof and the homes of two neighbors.

He figures the storm will cost him about $1,500.

"Took the branches, wrapped them all around and blew them on the other side," Ford said. "And then another tree blew over and it's on top of the storage building of my neighbor next door."

In neighborhoods where the trees fell and have been cut away, the damage is surprising.

The tornadoes that skipped across Tulsa pushed over some massive trees.

The cleanup continues all over Tulsa, but the effects could be around for a while. In fact, some damage in one neighborhood is leftover from the 2007 ice storm.

But it wasn't just the weaker trees that came down.

"That's the biggest tree I've ever seen on a house," said Bob Marler, Marler Construction.

A giant stump is what's left of a normally very strong red oak that was uprooted early Thursday. It fell on a house and a car.

"That big block, right there," said Marler "That's an 8,000 pound fork lift and it was almost tipped it's wheels off the ground, so that tree weighed a lot."

As the storm went over Tulsa, it took down big trees in LaFortune Park and golf course.

The county is cleaning up and reports no buildings were damaged.

And a school that was damaged plans to resume classes this Thursday.

The Discovery School will have to move off-site, because their building has too much damage.

They'll decide on Tuesday where they'll move while their building is repaired.
