TULSA, OK -- Thirty-one Tulsa Police officers retired late last week.

They include long time sex crimes Sergeant Gary Stansill, who has helped capture a number of high profile serial rapists.

Homicide detective Mike Nance is leaving after 38 years on the force and Officer Jennifer Mansell who has worked the downtown area.

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett has said in the past laid-off officers could be re-hired to fill positions left open by retirement.
