TULSA, OK -- A Former Owasso chemistry teacher accused of using an electronic device for a prurient, lewd, lascivious purpose, was charged Friday.

Tulsa County court records show Martin Zocher, 37, of Claremore, faces four felony counts of use of video equipment in a clandestine manner with intent to view images. The incidents happened between April 29, 2010 and June 3, 2010.

A report from the Owasso Police Department said Zocher used a device called an "ELMO," used in classrooms to project books and documents onto a computer screen, to take pictures up the skirts of female students.

When the administration learned of the allegations against Zocher, the school's technology department started monitoring his use of the computer system, according to the report. The department discovered several images of female students on Zocher's computer, as well as other pornographic images.

The report said Zocher admitted he used the device to take pictures up the skirts of female students and a female teacher.

Zocher has resigned from Owasso Public Schools.
