PINK, Oklahoma -- Authorities are looking for three men who fled the scene after a deputy was shot up to four times, according to Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth.

Booth said the deputy was pulling over a red truck for reckless driving around 8 p.m. Wednesday when a suspect inside the truck shot at the deputy.

The deputy was not seriously injured because he was wearing a bullet-proof vest.

"We had a traffic stop and in that traffic stop there were shots fired. Our deputy's OK. We don't know about the suspects. We're looking for a suspect vehicle right now," Booth said.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Walker and New Hope Road near the town of Pink.

The deputy's name was not released.

The suspect's vehicle was last seen on Highway 9 and is described as an early 90s red Chevy extended cab pickup truck with tinted windows and a sliding back glass window.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
