FBI agents are searching for a bank robber known as the "Bayou Bandit" who has been linked to robberies across several states including Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- FBI agents are searching for a bank robber known as the "Bayou Bandit" who has been linked to robberies across several states including Oklahoma.

The FBI announced a reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the serial bank robber the "Bayou Bandit". In addition to the $20,000 reward, the Oklahoma Bankers Association is offering another reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The FBI and local authorities believe he is responsible for the robbery of 11 banks since March 2010 including the International Bank of Commerce in Ardmore on June 23, a BankFirst in Marietta on June 24 and a First United Bank in Pauls Valley on July 17.

The serial robbery suspect has also been linked to bank robberies in Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico and Mississippi.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, approximately 5'10- 6' tall, with an average build. He typically enters the bank and presents a note to the teller demanding money. The unknown suspect has worn a baseball hat, dark sunglasses and a dark-colored shirt during the robberies.
