TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- An injury accident shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday on the exit ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 169 to westbound I-244 in Tulsa halted traffic on the ramp.

Tulsa Police say a SUV and semi were on the exit ramp, when the SUV cut in front of the semi causing the semi to strike the SUV.

The SUV rolled several times and came to rest on its wheels on the exit ramp.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a Tulsa hospital with an injury to his arm.

Police say because of the volume of traffic on the exit ramp, between 200,000 to 250,000 vehicles a day, officers worked to clean up the accident as quickly as possible.

About 45 minutes after the accident, the exit ramp was reopened to traffic.
