Family Searching For Missing Ponca City Teen

PONCA CITY, Oklahoma -- A Ponca City family is seeking any information that may help them find their missing daughter.

Casaundra Lynn Nelson was last seen by her father who dropped her off at school Thursday morning. Casaundra's mother, Rene Nelson, says her daughter never made it into the school.

"The attendance office called me around 10:30 Thursday morning and told me that her father called the school to excuse her absence, but it wasn't her father who called. We don't know who that man is that called the school," said Nelson.

Nelson says her daughter, who also goes by the name of Cassi, has been missing since.

"This is very out of character for her. She turns 15 on Saturday and she's never done this before," said Nelson.

The family has filed a missing person's report with the Ponca City Police Department.
