THOMAS, Oklahoma – In November, Oklahomans will choose a new governor. The Republican candidate, Mary Fallin, spread her campaign message in an old fashioned whistle stop train tour.

Mary Fallin is currently a Congresswoman, but she spent a majority of her political career at the state Capitol. Now she wants to return to Oklahoma as the state's next governor.

"Let's get Oklahoma moving!" Fallin said as her train tour kicked off in Thomas, Oklahoma.

With her new husband and family by her side, Mary Fallin and her supporters boarded the train for an eight hour ride, making stops in rural, western Oklahoma towns.

The first stop was Clinton and Fallin told residents her plans if elected governor.

"We're going to get our economy back on track. We're going to focus on creating jobs and opportunities for all Oklahomans," said Mary Fallin.

Then it was off to Cordell, where she was greeted by high school students. The campaign trail is nothing new to Fallin. But what is new is voters will elect a female governor. She likens the role to one she knows well.

"I hope to bring back my experience as a businesswoman and a mother who has had to worry about balancing a budget, sending kids to school," said Fallin.

In between stops, Mary Fallin discusses what she would bring to the state's highest office. She said her Washington D.C. experience gives her an edge.

"We need a governor who is willing to stand up to Washington whenever they are doing things that will cost our state jobs and hurt our families," the Republican Gubernatorial candidate said.

But the new governor's biggest challenge will be at home.

"Balancing the budget will certainly be a big challenge for the governor and for the legislature but we're ready to step up and lead on those issues," Fallin said.

Fallin told Hobart residents on the final stop of the tour she wants to be the one Oklahomans pick to do the job.

Next week Mary Fallin will take her campaign to the southeast part of the state.
