Headless Woman Found In Tulsa Home Identified
TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police have identified the woman found dead inside her home Monday.
Police say 55-year-old Janice Lynn Weisman may have died of natural causes in late December or early January.
Her body was discovered near the front door inside the home. The woman's head was found in another part of the house.
Animal Control removed two dogs from inside the home which police say may have eaten parts of the body.
Police made the gruesome discovery after receiving a request to check on the welfare of the woman who hadn't been seen since Christmas.
Police say the can't understand why the request didn't come in sooner, since the woman's mail and newspapers were piling up.
