OKLAHOMA CITY -- The warm weather has many people itching to get out in the garden, but you may want to hold off on your Spring fever.

Experts at TLC, where it looked like Spring was in full bloom in the greenhouses, said while many people are antsy to start planting, now is not the time.

"Oh it's very, very early on most things. I gave you a few things. Those type of things you can plant and take a chance on. Everything else I would wait until mid-March at least," said Linda Shackelford, TLC Vice President.

Shackelford said some things gardeners can plant right now are potatoes, onions, carrots, lettuce and some berries.

Otherwise, she said all you should be doing now is putting down weed barrier and adding compost to your flower beds.
