Wife, Teen Daughter Arrested In Coweta Man's Death

WAGONER COUNTY – The wife and 14-year-old daughter of a Coweta man found shot to death last month were arrested Thursday, along with the daughter's boyfriend, the OSBI said.

Arthur Burney, 53, died from a gunshot wound to the head on February 18, 2011.  His body was found in a barn at his home near Coweta.  Investigators said Burney's wife, Patricia Burney, reported his death.

According to the OSBI, investigators arrested Patricia Burney Thursday for solicitation of first degree murder in connection with her husband's death.

Investigators also arrested the couple's 14-year-old daughter, Michelle Burney, Thursday at Broken Arrow North Intermediate High School.

Michelle Burney's boyfriend, 17-year-old Michael Richardson, was arrested at a home in the 2900 block of NW 45 Street in Oklahoma City, according to the OSBI.

All three were booked into the Wagoner County jail.
