Sapulpa Police Make DUI Arrest After Driver Crashes Through Fence

Police said the driver was exiting I-244 at 56th West Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday when he ran a stop sign, went up an embankment and crashed into a chain link fence.

SAPULPA, Oklahoma – Sapulpa Police arrested a man on suspicion of DUI early Monday morning after he lost control of his car and nearly crashed into a building.

Police said the driver of a white Nissan Sentra was exiting I-244 at 56th West Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday when he ran a stop sign, went up an embankment and crashed into a chain link fence.

Police said the car came to rest just inches away from a building.

The driver, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license.

Two passengers in the car were not hurt.
