Former Marble City School Teacher Headed To Prison For Raping Student

SALLISAW, Oklahoma -- A former Sequoyah County 8th grade computer teacher accused of raping a 13-year old boy, sending him nude photos and sexual text messages will be spending the next five years in a state prison.

Stephanie Harris, 29, pleaded no contest to first degree rape and three counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology in November 2010.

During a hearing in Sequoyah County District Court on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, Harris was given a 10-year suspended prison sentence as well. 

Harris taught at the Marble City schools.

The teenager, who is now 16, contacted the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office in August of 2008.
