DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- A January house fire in Del City launched a drug investigation that led to the arrests of two people.

Fire destroyed a house at 3932 Thomas Drive on January 26. The fire was deemed suspicious, and investigators determined it was caused by a methamphetamine lab.

Del City fire investigators teamed up with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. After an extensive two-month investigation, they issued arrest warrants for Kevin Wade Bataille and Christine Ryan Jakowski. They were both wanted on complaints of first-degree arson and endeavoring to manufacture a controlled, dangerous substance.

Bataille and Jakowski were arrested Monday, March 28. They are currently in the Oklahoma County Jail.
