Tulsa Driver Not Injured When Robber Shoots At Pickup Truck

Officers say it happened at about 11 p.m. while a man was sitting in his pickup truck talking on his phone at a home near 121st and Admiral.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a driver at gunpoint late Tuesday night in east Tulsa.

Officers say it happened at about 11 p.m. while a man was sitting in his pickup truck talking on his phone at a home near 121st and Admiral.

The victim said a man walked up to his truck and asked to borrow his phone.  After he handed the man the phone, the suspect demanded money.  He told police he saw a weapon in the suspect's waistband.

The driver then sped away in the pickup truck, but not before the suspect fired 5 times, with most of the shots striking the truck.

Tulsa Police say the driver was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 16-18 years of age, 6'00"and 170lbs.  He was wearing all dark clothing and described as clean shaven with a short haircut.

He was armed with a black pistol. 

Police recovered several shell casings at the scene of the shooting.
