Driver Sought After Stolen Tulsa Car Found Abandoned

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police attempted to stop the driver of a car for erratic driving near Apache and Harvard early Thursday morning but lost him.

A short time later they found the car abandoned at Tyler and Toledo.

Officers say it appears the driver was in a hurry to get away as officers found a right tennis shoe lying in the street next to the car.

Tulsa Police used a K-9 officer and the police helicopter to search for the suspect but came up empty.

A check turned up the fact the car had been stolen.
