Wannabe Exotic Dancer Arrested At OKC Bar

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police arrested a woman looking to work as an exotic dancer at The Midway Bar in Oklahoma City after she jumped on stage and started to dance.

According to a police report, 21-year-old Sonji Chaunise Kenney was arrested at the bar located at 5215 N.W. 10th Street on April 16.

The bartender, Tamra Samuels, told police Kenney came into the bar looking for a job as an exotic dancer. After Samuels told Kenney they already had enough dancers for the night, Kenney stayed at the bar and at one point, she allegedly got up on stage and started dancing.

The report states Samuels asked Kenney to leave and threatened to call police if she didn't. That's when Samuels says the woman lunged at her and started hitting her and pulling her hair.

Oklahoma City Police arrived and arrested Kenney without incident. Kenney was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail and charged with assault and battery and trespassing.
