Sun Bowl Receives Big Ratings Boost

El PASO, Texas – The 2009 Sun Bowl received the highest overnight television ratings the game has received in eight years. The contest between Oklahoma and No. 21 Stanford produced a 3.6 rating and an eight percent share.

The broadcast received a 50 percent increase over last year’s game. It was the highest overnight rating for a Sun Bowl game since 2001.
