CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Tulsa Drillers managed only one run and five hits in a doubleheader against Corpus Christi, but it was good enough to gain a split with the Hooks.

A throwing error in the seventh and final inning of game two allowed the Drillers to escape with a 1-0 win. The Hooks won game one 5-0.

Tulsa scored the game-winning run in game two without hitting a ball out of the infield. With the score tied 0-0, Ryan Harvey drew a lead-off walk in the top of the seventh inning and was sacrificed to second. Kiel Roling reached on an infield single that moved Harvey to third. Dayton Buller followed with a routine ground ball to Marcos Cabral, but the third baseman threw high and into the first base dugout, allowing Harvey to come home with the go-ahead run. It was Cabral's third throwing error of the game.

That run broke a streak of 27 straight scoreless innings for the Drillers. Their last run had scored with two outs in the fifth inning of their game with San Antonio on April 13.

The Hooks had a prime opportunity in the bottom of the seventh. T.J. Steele lined the first pitch from closer Craig Baker into center field for a base hit. Baker retired the next two hitters before Jack Shuck reached on an infield single that moved the tying run into scoring position. Cabral had a chance to make up for his error but grounded out to end the game.

Stu Pomeranz (2-6) was credited with the win after working a scoreless sixth inning.

Corpus Christi 5, Tulsa 0

The Drillers were held to just a pair of singles as they failed to score a run for the second straight game.

The Hooks got homers from catcher Lou Santangelo and first baseman Koby Clemens.

Corpus Christi starter Jordan Lyles (1-1) threw six scoreless innings. Brandon Durden (0-1) was charged with the loss after allowing two runs in five innings.

Tulsa will begin a three-game series in San Antonio with the Missions at 4:05 p.m. Sunday.
