Thunder Holds Media Day

The Oklahoma City Thunder talked about their summer progress, their upcoming year and some changes you’ll see as they look for another playoff season.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder held its Media Day Monday, allowing interview time with several on the team’s roster.

Kevin Durant returned after an impressive season last year, but he said he’s nowhere near slowing down. He’s said he’s focusing on making the upcoming season even better. He’ll get his chance to focus on Tuesday, as the team opens training camp.

Russell Westbrook, who played with Durant on Team USA, said this summer was an opportunity to improve his skills.

“I think I improved a lot, especially just mentally getting prepared for games,” Westbrook said.

Westbrook talked about his experience in Turkey, off the hardwood and how much he enjoyed his summer abroad.
