STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State survived a chaotic second half and came away with a thrilling 70-68 over Texas Tech Saturday to snap a four-game losing streak.

Texas Tech trailed for almost the entire first half, but retook the lead with a 15-1 run in the second half. From that point forward, the game was a nailbiter.

In the final eight minutes, the largest lead either team held was three points. Both teams continued to trade baskets until the Cowboys finally took a 69-68 lead with 26 seconds remaining.

Texas Tech’s Mike Singletary committed a costly travel on the ensuing possession, giving the ball back to OSU. The Red Raiders quickly fouled, but Jean-Paul Olukemi missed the second shot to keep things at a two-point game with seven seconds left.

Tech’s John Roberson quickly made his way down the court and ended up with a clear look on a potential game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, but his shot rimmed out and gave the Cowboys the win.

Olukemi led all scorers with 20 points, while Marshall Moses scored 14 and Reger Dowell added 13. The Cowboys as a team shot exactly 50 percent from the field, but went a measly 2-of-15 from behind the 3-point line.

Brad Reese led Texas Tech with 18 points, Roberson scored 17 and D’Walyn Roberts had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The win ended OSU’s four-game skid, during which the Cowboys failed to break 70 points in every game. The Cowboys will stay in Stillwater for their next game at 6 p.m. Tuesday against Baylor.
