MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Oklahoma City RedHawks finished their first series of the season with their third straight loss 7-1 to the Memphis Redbirds.

The RedHawks (1-3) got on the board first, with an RBI single by Robinson Cancel in the second inning. But it was all Memphis (3-1) from there.

The Redbirds loaded the bases after three batters in the third inning, thanks to a single, a walk and an error. Ramon Vazquez took advantage with a two-run single to give Memphis the lead, and Nick Stavinoha followed with an RBI single to make it 3-1.

The Redbirds piled on with four more runs in the fifth inning. Mark Hamilton and Andrew Brown each had RBI singles, and Bryan Anderson drove both of them home with a single of his own to stretch the lead to six.

Oklahoma City did not get a runner past first base for the rest of the game. Fernando Nieve was credited with a loss after giving up five earned runs on nine hits in 4.1 innings. Lance Lynn earned a win and held OKC to one run on six hits in seven innings.

After winning their first game of the year, the RedHawks have lost their last three. They will continue their eight-game road trip to start the season against the Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
